With a long history, Maofeng green tea was a contribution to the Emperor from Tang Dynasty which is very rare in Chinese history. This Maofeng is made from big tea leaves which allows the tea to release a deeper tea smell.  Instead of being fried to dry, this one is actually baked to dry with mild heat. Made from one bud one leaf leaves and one bud two leaf leaves, the tea has white tiny hair in the clean tea soup when the tea opens up. The tea has a very fresh and mild flavour with a good back-to-sweet after-taste. Because the tea is tender, we suggest you use 85 °c water to brew the tea.
