The chrysanthemum is one of the “Four Gentlemen” (四君子) of China, together with the plum blossom, the orchid, and bamboo. It’s a symbol of nobility and autumn.
These baby chrysanthemums are picked in September when they are still flower buds, coming from Tongxiang, Hangzhou where chrysanthemum plantation has hundreds of years’ history.
The flavour of the Baby Chrysanthemum is very subtle with a gentle honey hint. It is a herbal drink for all of the four seasons.
It has antioxidant, a natural skincare. It’s also good for eyes if you have to work in front of the computers for a long time. It helps to protect your livers.
Take 4-6 flowers and put them into your mugs or pots, pour boiled water in, and wait for 1-2 minutes. You can keep adding water until the flavour fades away. You can enjoy them more with roses, dates or Goji berries.
